This piece was first inspired by an observational drawing of my baby cousin Sam. I was drawn to his sense of wonder and the ease in his body. As an artist, I am also interested in exploring more intimate moments between characters. When I saw a photograph of a dad playing guitar to his newborn, I knew I wanted to incorporate that same feeling into this painting. Combining these ideas with a dreamy landscape, I created the final artwork shown here.
